When I was in the 10th grade, my biology class teacher told me that I
have to stop being so rude. He told me that this is America and you
won't get far by being so rude.
I think many people are way too superficial and beat around the bush too much. If you have something to say, just say it. If people don't like you, that's even better because they won't be asking you to borrow money.
Over the years, I kept things real and I did not listen to those people that kept saying I can't do this or I shouldn't be doing that. So what I barely passed my biology class? I ended up being the most influential person in the crystal awards business. My book It's Who Knows You is selling all over the world. And all I do is get invited to the most awesome parties. Not bad for a Rude Boy huh?

Many people still don't know the benefits of joining a service club like the Kiwanis Club. Our mission is to serve our community, but we also like to have a lot of fun at our weekly meetings.
Unlike many other service organizations which can be boring and stale, our club Rocks! Part of the reason is that I am the Membership Director and I tend to attract the best folks.
So consider this my invitation for you to swing by on Wednesday and have lunch on me so you can see what we are all about. No one is going to pressure you to sign up. The fact is, over half of our guests end up joining after they check us out a couple of times.
By the way, we need a speaker every week. If you would like to speak for 30 minutes at one of our meetings, please email me and I will arrange it for you. Topics may vary from civic to non-profit to business related. The key is to show us how the community can benefit from your presentation.
